I Two

So it has been forever since I have posted.  But I need to at least post this one and then get caught up!  The H-man turned 2!!! If you ask Hunter how old he is, he says I 2 and holds up his fingers.  Thanks to everyone that came to the party.  Hunter of course was spoiled!  He like opening most of the presents, and would clap after opening them.
I can't believe it, it has been two of the best years of our life!  Hunter is getting so big, still not walking, but sooooo close.  He has been fitted for braces, and we are hoping this is the missing link for him to start.
Here is a few fun thing about Hunter.  He gets so excited when his dad comes home, when he hears Jared start walking up the basement stairs, he hurrys and crawls over to the railing making a kissing noise and then kisses Jared through the rails.  I have yet to get this on video, but I'm working on it.  He is also starting to like his cousing Stella a little better, he now actually lets her play with him!  This is a big accomplishment!  He loves going to both grandparents homes, and he usually know that we are close about a mile before we even get there.  He loves being outside, loves the mountains, and the trees.  Hunter is also obsessed with trucks, especially his daddys work truck.   We love this little man so much!

H loves Dr. Seuss books, so thats what we did for the cake!

We took H to the aquarium, he loved the otters, the jelly fish, and the tiger fish.  I was a lot of fun!

Boy or Caveboy?

Hunter loves, loves, loves, to have his face covered when he sleeps.  When we go in to check on him his blanket or burp cloth is always covering his face, and the rest of his body is uncovered!  He also loves to roll behind the couches, or in to corners.  Well today I put him in his room to play while I got in the shower, and this is what I found when I came out.

Cutest kid ever!

Weber State Fireworks

Last night we went to the fireworks at Weber State with some friends and family.  It is such a fun tradition, and the fireworks are awesome every year.  Well worth fighting the crowd and traffic going home.  This year Hunter was actually old enough that he didn't fall asleep before they started.
Hunter was getting a little bored!

Laying with dad just before the fireworks started

Our fun nephew Kale

17 months!

Well Hunter keeps getting bigger and bigger!  He has been doing great with his physical therapy, and after only one day of being is his walker he started putting weight on his feet and trying to stand!  We are so proud of him, he is doing awesome!!!  He rolls all over the place, and gets a little frustrated with himself when we are around older kids, and he can't go where they do.  Hopefully it will just give him more motivation to get moving.  But he has come so far in the three months since his surgery, I'm sure by the end of the year (or sooner) we will be chasing him everywhere!!!
Getting so good at posing for the camera!

Happy 4th

So I was bad and didn't take many pics on the 4th, but we had a fun day!  We started off in Henefer for breakfast, and hanging out with my family.  Hunter had fun with Grandpa Dennis on the slides and the swings.  Then we went home and had friends and family over to our place for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks.  It is so nice to be able to sit on our deck and enjoy the show, hope everyone had a great 4th!

Summer Haircut

So Hunters hair was getting a little out of control!  Not to metion it has now decided to get hot, and his cradle cap keeps coming back!  So it was time for him to get a summer haircut.  He thought it was great, because he loves the feel of the clippers.

It's A Girl!!!

On May 11, 2011 Jackie had sweet little Stella!  She is such a cute little bug, and we are so excited for Ben and Jackie.  Here are a couple pics from the hospital,  I need to take a picture of Stella Bella on my camera so I can put it on here.  Hunter is pretty good with her, and doesn't seem to mind sharing the attention (most of the time)!

Ben coming out and telling us the news!

Eye Surgery, and Greatly Needed Vacation!

Hunter had his eye surgery on the 8th, things went great, he was able to go home that afternoon.  He didn't even really cry that much, and he handled the pain really well.  He is such a tough little man.  Immediatley after having the surgery, he started looking at things like he had never seen them before!  He was amazed with everything, and still is. He started touching peoples faces, and focusing on things a lot more.  Three days after having the surgery he started rolling from his back to his belly!  He is doing so great, we are so thrilled!  The doctor says he may have to have at least one more surgery in about 6 months to a year, to keep his eyes facing forward.

About 5 days after surgery, his eyes were still really red.

We also went on a long overdue vacation this month.  We went to Las Vegas, and St. George over Easter weekend. In Vegas we stayed at the Silverton, we went to Hoover Dam, the Bass Pro Shops, the Bellagio, and went swimming.  Then in St. George, we stayed with family and hung out with Jareds brother and his family, it was a lot of fun.  It was so nice to get away and spend time as a family!  Hunter did great on the car ride, and played peek a boo the whole way down!

Ready to go!

He loved the fountains

Too much fun

Hunter has found out how to take his pants off.

Ready to be home.

Did Somebody Say Food!

So Hunter loves to eat, he makes sure that he doesn't miss a meal.  When it's time for dinner he lets you know!  He will eat almost anything, some of his favorites are spaghetti, PB&J, grilled cheese, mangos, and almost any vegetable of fruit.
He also likes asparagus

The cheerio kept sliding down his face, he thought it was hilarious

He really gets in to his food!

He even likes black licorice(blaah)

13 months

Hunter also turned 13 months  he is sitting up really well now.  He had his evaluation with early intervention, and has started physical therapy.  He thinks his physical therapist is wonderful!  We also had an appointment with the eye doctor (Hunter isn't quite as fond of him), and Hunter will be having surgery on both eyes on April 8th, hopefully this will help his vision.

Look Who's 1!

I can't believe our little man is a year old now, it's crazy! He is getting so big! Earlier this month he had an appointment with a neurologist because of his developmental delays.  She ordered another MRI, and an appointment with an eye doctor for his lazy eye, and physical therapy.  Hopefully this will find some anwsers to why Hunter is a little behind.  As for his growth he is doing just fine.
Height:
Weight: 22lbs
We have changed him to a forward facing carseat, and he loves it!  He just stares at everything.  He has eight teeth now, he is now on regular milk, and is off his bottle.  He did so good when we started to take away his bottle, and only fussed about it one night.  He is such a trooper.
Hunter had a good birthday, although he was not to thrilled about it.  He wouldn't really eat his cake, and had a melt down, so he went to bed and everone else hung out.  He got a tool bench, wagon, clothes, and a dinosaur flashlight. Now prepare for picture overload!
Look whos 1!

Helping with the laundry

Of course the cake had to have trucks on it!

Hunter with some of his presents, the balloons were his favorite part!

Not to thrilled:(

First real taste of sugar, he didn't know what to think.

All dressed up in his new church outfit grandma Rees bought him.

Ring in the new!

Happy New Year!  We had a great New Years Eve at our house with all our friends, it was a lot of fun!  Then on New Years Day, Hunter decided it was finally time to start sitting up on his own! Hooray!  He is getting more teeth (now has almost 8),  he grinds his teeth so bad that he has chipped his tooth.  I don't know what is worse him grinding his teeth to deal with the pain, or crying.  Here are a few pictures from January.
Looking a little concerned

Jared and his brother brought this home from California!

Hunter loves hangers, but he is sort of stuck!

Getting ready to go outside and play with dad.

Christmas and 10 months!

It has been so fun this year having Hunter for the holidays!  Not that he is really to thrilled, but it just makes things more exciting.  As always it was busy, with many places to go, and many people to see.  For my dads side of the family this year we had an ugly Christmas sweater party, there were some doozies!  Hunter got a zoom and go race track, clothes, a high chair, and a John Deere Tractor!  He was of course more excited with the boxes and wrapping paper.  Jared got a GPS, and Hunter and I gave him a lever action 30/30 (I'm not sure how to write that).  As for me, my parents gave me a digital recipe book, and Jared built me this awesome craft storage and work center, it's AMAZING!!!
Hunter also turned 10 months!  He has gotten two more teeth, and grinds them constantly!  He seems to get his teeth in two at a time, as if one isn't painful enough.  He is doing good on solid foods, still gags a lot, he loves anything except green beans.

Hangin' out with Uncle Ben!

Oh no!  Hunter is way to intrigued already!

9 Months

I can't believe how time flies!  Hunter is getting so big.
Height: 28" (50%)
Weight: 19.45lbs (50%)
Hunter has two teeth, his first tooth poked through on November 1, and more trying to come in, he does pretty good with the pain.  Still a little behind on his motor skills but we are working on it.  He is such a good little guy and only gets angry if you don't feed him on time!  He loves to chew on his burp cloth, but other than that isn't too attached to anything.  He still loves his daddy, and also loves his uncle Chase.

It's Legal

It's offical we are now the legal parents of our little man!  We are so excited!!!  It was great to be able to go to court and have everything finalized.  It has been a long process and at times a little stressful, but it is all worth it.  We love Hunter so much and are so greatful to have him in our lives!
This is a picture of us with our amazing caseworker Diane, and Mitch who is also from LDSFS, we would never have been able to get through all of this without Diane's help!

Us with Judge DeRieda, he was awesome!
